Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued for Mystic, Stonington

Potential thunderstorms are in the forecast for June 9 and beyond.

The National Weather Service is calling for a chance of showers and thunderstorms Tuesday, June 9. A “Hazardous Weather Outlook” and a “Special Weather Statement” were issued for much of the state.

The greatest chance for severe weather is predicted for Hartford and Tolland counties.

Tuesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 72. South wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Tuesday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 9 p.m. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 59. Southwest wind 5 to 8 mph becoming calm after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 74. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 9 mph in the morning.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 61. South wind 5 to 9 mph.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 79. Southwest wind 6 to 9 mph.

Thursday Night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 61. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 77.

Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 63.
