Historic Farm & Garden Tour - Stonington October 3rd

Open Days Program Invites Visitors to Kentford Farm in Stonington. Home & Garden Enthusiasts Will Come Away with Inspiration and Ideas.

The Open Days Program invites visitors to explore private, historic Kentford Farm in Stonington for one day only, October 3rd.

Dating from 1727, private Kentford Farm is an enduring part of picturesque Old Mystic. The site features an expansive collection of gardens across five acres. Winding paths travel among the 18th century farm structures, which include the main house, barn and potting sheds. Sitting areas, a koi pond, waterfall, and a romantic trellis create focal points along the walkways. A vintage walk-in root cellar set into the hillside is still in use and hand-built stone walls ramble across the acreage.

The original homestead is situated among mature pines, magnolias, maples, dramatic weeping cherries, wisteria and many other specimens. It is surrounded by stone patios and gardens, leading to an additional eighty acres of native open space and wildlife.
