Huge Scratch-Off Winner Sold At Pawcatuck Store

STONINGTON, CT — A winning Connecticut Lottery ticket worth $10,000 was recently sold in Pawcatuck, according to lottery officials.

The prize-winning ticket for the $100,000 CA$HWORD scratch game was purchased March 6 at 87 West Tire LLC in Pawcatuck.

The winner was a Pawcatuck resident. The CT Lottery no longer identifies winners' identities without written consent.

The CA$HWORD game is a $10 scratch-off ticket that offers players a chance to win prizes ranging from smaller amounts up to the game’s top prize of $100,000.

The Connecticut Lottery regularly publishes information about winning tickets worth $5,000 or more, including the location where the ticket was purchased. Winners have up to 180 days from the date of validation to claim their prizes.

Connecticut Lottery proceeds help support a variety of programs across the state, including public education and municipal aid.
