Husband, Wife Both Charged With DUI At Same Time: Stonington Police

Stonington police said a Ledyard husband and wife were both charged with driving under the influence​ at the same time.

STONINGTON, CT - Stonington police said a Ledyard husband and wife were both charged with driving under the influence early Saturday morning, as reported by the New London Day. The incident occurred on Route 27 in Mystic at approximately 1:50 a.m., according to police.

Police said the two were charged after Taylor C. Torres, 29, was pulled over for crossing the double yellow line while following her husband's car, according to the New London Day. When Torres was pulled over, her husband, Hector J. Torres Jr., 28, also pulled his car over, police said. Police said both suspects failed to pass field sobriety tests and were both arrested, the New London Day reported. They were charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, police said.
