2 Separate Tractor-Trailer Crashes Close I-95 In Stonington Area [UPDATE]

Two separate accidents have closed portions of the highway, according to the DOT.

STONINGTON, CT — I-95 southbound was closed Tuesday morning due to a tanker crash, according to the state Department of Transportation.

The accident was between exits 93 and 92 in North Stonington. The wreck was reported at 7:29 a.m. and closed the southbound side of the highway.

The highway remains closed.

The northbound side was closed Tuesday morning due to a tractor-trailer crash, according to the DOT.

The crash was reported at 5:39 a.m. and has closed the northbound side of the highway between exits 91 and 92.

A tractor-trailer jackknifed, resulting in the accident.

No injuries were reported in either crash, according to WTNH News-8.
