Jake the Book Barn Cat Needs a Home

Jake the cat, a much-loved cat at the Book Barn in Niantic, is not having an easy time. Lots of people visit the Book Barn every week and he is troubled by the excitement.

“He needs a quieter life than the Book Barn,”staff wrote on Facebook, adding that he needs to be in a home with no children or any other pets.

“We love Jake and hate to see him unhappy,” they said.

Jake has a history of biting, staff said, “but can also be very sweet.”
