Look, Up In The Sky. It's Just The Eversource Helicopter
Through Feb. 28, helicopter inspections of high-voltage electrical equipment on Eversource rights of way will be done across the area.

NORTH STONINGTON, CT — Eversource is currently conducting aerial inspections of high-voltage electrical equipment on rights of way throughout Connecticut. This semiannual inspection is an important part of the company’s ongoing commitment to providing reliable electric service.
The work involves the use of a helicopter equipped with heat-sensing, infrared scanning technology which can detect potential equipment issues before they occur.
The helicopter is blue and silver with the number N1431W on the tail.

The aerial inspections begin Friday and continue through Feb. 28. Weather permitting; flights will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The helicopter will fly over utility rights-of-way in North Stonington, East Lyme, Ledyard, Lyme, Montville, and Waterford.
