On Sunday evening, November 24 at 7 PM at Mystic Congregational Church, the Mystic Area Ecumenical Council will present the third in its series “Cultivating Compassion: Perspectives on Israelis, Palestinians, and Possibilities for Peace.”  Two “Young Emissaries” from Israel, here for the academic year and sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Southeastern CT, will present on teenage life in Israel and engage in dialogue with attendees.  Part of a group of 16 visiting young emissaries throughout the area, these young post-high school/pre-military teens, hosted by local families, come to our communities to share Israel’s successes and challenges.   Area youth groups are especially encouraged to attend.  The Mystic Area Ecumenical Council is a member organization consisting of 20 churches in the Mystic/Groton/Stonington area.
