WATCH: Connecticut Governor Photobombed by Juno the Whale at Mystic Aquarium

Malloy was at the aquarium touting an increase in Connecticut tourism when Juno decided to steal the show.


Gov. Dannel Malloy went to Mystic Aquarium Wednesday to tout the state’s increase in tourism, but the real winner was Juno the beluga whale.

Juno floated around the edge of the glass where Malloy was giving a press conference, according to the Hartford Courant.

Malloy was offered the chance to pet Juno, but he declined.

Juno is almost 12-feet-long and weighs 1,320 pounds, according to the aquarium’s website. He was born in July 2002 and is known for watching people in the underwater viewing area.

Juno has a fan Facebook page with more than 1,000 likes.
