Man, 19, Charged In Stonington Home Invasion: Police

Police said a 19-year old Westerly, Rhode Island man has been charged in a recent Stonington home invasion.

STONINGTON, CT - Police said a 19-year old Westerly, Rhode Island man has been charged in a recent Stonington home invasion, the Westerly Sun reported. The incident occurred at a Whewell Circle apartment on October 5, police said.

Police said Jamie L. Corr was charged in connection to the home invasion after officers recovered evidence related to the incident during a search of the suspect's apartment, according to the Westerly Sun. Police also said the suspect was arrested Wednesday, and the investigation is ongoing. Police said Corr entered the victim's apartment wearing a mask and demanded she give him the money in her pocket while pointing what appeared to be a handgun at her, the Westerly Sun reported. He eventually grabbed approximately $626 from her and fled the apartment, police said.
