Man Charged With Assault After Woman Runs Through Traffic In Mystic: Police
Police said a Mystic man was charged with assault after officers received reports of a woman running in and out of traffic.

MYSTIC, CT - Police said a Mystic man is facing assault and other charges after officers received multiple reports of a woman running in and out of traffic, the Westerly Sun reported. Police said the woman was later discovered to be the victim of an assault.
Police responded Thursday morning to reports of a woman running in and out of traffic along Whitehall Avenue, according to the Westerly Sun. Officers were soon able to locate the unidentified woman, who was found with visible bruises on her eyes, arms and neck. (To sign up for Stonington/Mystic breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
The victim indicated to officers she had been the victim of an assault by John Mark Torres, 28, of Mystic, the Westerly Sun reported. The suspect subsequently denied being involved, and told officers the victim had assaulted herself.
