Man Charged With Assaulting Couple at Stonington Point

STONINGTON, CT- A man is facing charges for assaulting a couple Monday evening at Stonington Point, as reported by the Westerly Sun.

Police said resident Michael Ryan, 65, acted aggressively towards and physically assaulted a man and woman close to 10:30 p.m., according to the Westerly Sun. No serious injuries were reported.

The couple was said by police to be much younger than the alleged assailant, though their ages were not released, the Westerly Sun reported. They said Ryan had admitted to the attack, and also accused the woman of being a former fiance who was cheating on him with the man she was with.
