Man Charged In Mystic Cemetery Flower Theft: Report

A man is accused of stealing flowers from Elm Grove Cemetery.

MYSTIC, CT — A man is accused of stealing flowers from a Elm Grove Cemetery in Mystic, according to The New London Day. Police said that a GPS unit attached to the flowers led them to the man accused in the case.

Past thefts of flowers at the Route 27 cemetery led the victim to attach the GPS units to the flowers at the grave site, The New London Day reported.

Richard Willits, 55, of Groton, was charged with sixth-degree larceny.
