Man Injected Heroin With Son In Car: Report

A man is under arrest after he allegedly injected heroin next to his 5-year-old son in Stonington.

STONINGTON, CT - A Rhode Island man was arrested on charges that he injected heroin while his 5-year-old son was in the car. The New London Day reported that Joseph Dimella, 39, of West Kingston, is facing charges of risk of injury to a minor, possession of narcotics within 1,500 feet of a school, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance.

Police said Dimella was seen using a hypodermic needle in a parking lot next to the Stonington High School baseball field, according to The Day. The boy was in the passenger seat at the time.
