Man Killed In Stonington Head-On Crash Identified: Report

A man was killed and a woman was injured in a wreck Wednesday morning in Stonington.

STONINGTON, CT — A man killed in a head-on crash Wednesday morning in Stonington has been identified, according to The New London Day. The victim was William Cordner, 58, of Mystic.

The two-car wreck occurred on Pequot Trail near the intersection with Back Acres Way at 7:32 a.m. One of the cars crossed into the path of the other car.

Cordner was driving a BMW sedan and was transported to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital, then taken via helicopter to another facility where he died. The other driver was a Mystic woman who was taken to Westerly Hospital for treatment, according to The New London Day.
