Man May Have Attempted to Kidnap 10-Year Old Girl in Stonington: Police
Police said the girl refused a ride from a stranger and ran to her house.

STONINGTON, CT - Police said a man may have tried to kidnap a 10-year old girl in Stonington after school Tuesday, according to The Day.
Police said the girl had gotten off a late bus around 4:30 p.m. when a man in a four-door sedan asked her if she needed a ride home, The Day reported. The girl refused and ran to her house, which police said was the right thing for her to do.
Officers are currently investigating the situation, and an officer has been assigned to the area in an attempt to identify the driver, The Day reported. An alert was sent out to parents early Wednesday morning warning them of the situation.
