Milling, Paving Begins Along Route 1 in Stonington
Police warn travelers to seek out alternate routes when possible.

STONINGTON, CT - A planned milling and paving project has begun along Route 1 between Stonington and Pawcatuck, the Westerly Sun reported.

Work will include milling and paving from Flanders Road in Stonington to Lathrop Avenue in Pawcatuck, the Westerly Sun reported. Police said traffic will reduce to a single lane in both directions especially between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
