
The Mystic & Noank Library will host a discussion about author Virginia Woolf on Monday, November 4 at 7:00 p.m. “Virginia Woolf – Her Tumultuous Life” will be presented by Kenneth Knott. Knott will give review of her life, and speak about how her life affected her writings and why her writing style is important. The presentation will include a discussion of her childhood, the Bloomsbury Group, and several of her novels. Her relationship with Vita Sackville West will be touched upon, as well as her thoughts on the air raids over London as WWII approached.
Knott is passionate about Virginia Woolf’s writings, and has been a studying Woolf for several years. He is a member of the International Virginia Woolf Society, took the Virginia Woolf walking tour in London, and visited the London Library where Woolf’s father borrowed books for her to read as a child. Ken studied writing at New School University and wrote for the New York Law Journal.
