Mystic Aquarium $3.5 Million Addition Proposal Scheduled for Public Hearing
Plans call for a conservation, research and education facility to be built if approved.

MYSTIC, CT - The Mystic Aquarium’s proposal for a $3.5 million addition is now scheduled for a public hearing, the Westerly Sun reported.
The aquarium has applied to the Planning and Zoning Commission for a special use permit needed to build the addition, according to the Westerly Sun. Plans call for an 11,000-square-foot conservation, research and education facility to be built if approved.
The facility is set to be called the Milne Ocean Conservation Center, as reported by the Westerly Sun. A public hearing has been scheduled for March 21 at 7:30 p.m.
