Mystic Aquarium Performing Necropsy On Sea Turtle Found Dead

MYSTIC, CT - The Mystic Aquarium's Animal Rescue Clinic said a necropsy for a recently found dead sea turtle was scheduled to take place Friday afternoon, the New Haven Register reported. The clinic does not always perform a necropsy on the animals they find, however officials determined it necessary in this particular case.

Officials said the turtle's remains were picked up after it was found by members of the Pine Orchard Yacht & Country Club in Branford, according to the New Haven Register. Those who initially found the animal said it had a crack in its shell and looked like it had been hit by a boat.
