Mystic Healthcare and Rehabilitation Fined $1,020: Report

MYSTIC, CT - The state Department of Public Health has fined Mystic Healthcare and Rehabilitation $1,020 recently, the New London Day reports.

According to the Day, a patient at the facility committed suicide on Dec. 21, 2015.

The citation was issued because the staff was not aware that the resident had a documented history of suicidal ideation including a stint in the hospital on Nov. 2-5 for treatment of that exact condition, the report states.

The facility’s operator said they are committed to all residents well-being.
