Mystic Man Charged In Fatal Crash: Report

A Mystic man was charged in connection with a fatal wreck in April.

MYSTIC, CT — A Mystic man faces charges in connection with a fatal crash in April, The New London Day reported. Ryan J. Brown, 19, of 180 Breezy Knoll Drive in Mystic, was charged with second-degree manslaughter, failure to drive right, and use of a hand-held cellphone while driving.

He was released on $100,000 bond. He faces up to 10 years in prison on the manslaughter charge.

Brown was involved in an accident that killed Michelle McMullen, 52, of Norwich. He reportedly told a police officer at the scene that he was driving while texting when the wreck occurred.
