Mystic Record Shop Named CT's Best

MYSTIC, CT - Mystic Disc was recently name the state's best record store by Vinyl Me Please. The shop has been part of downtown Mystic for more than 40 years.

"It’s a haven for tourists and locals alike who would rather listen to the Beach Boys than hang on the beach — and Dan Curland is its captain," an article on the site reads. "An oft-grinning ex-musician who lives only to sell vinyl and talk tunes, Curland and his generosity of spirit and dedication to the music makes the Disc a decades-old institution."

Curland has built the store's collection through the years by picking up records from estate sales, emphasizing his interest in rock, jazz, blues, and soul.
