Mystic Sixth Graders Donate Over 750 Food Items

MYSTIC, CT - A group of five Mystic Middle School sixth graders recently donated over 750 food items to the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center, according to the New London Day. The items were collected through a Thanksgiving food drive organized by the students.

The drive was held as a “Food Wars” competition, wherein a student's grade would receive a point each time a food item was brought in, according to the New London Day. Fifth-grade students won the competition, however the real victory was all the food that went toward helping those in need.
