Woman Charged With Falsely Reporting Home Invasion: Stonington PD
Stonington police said a Mystic woman has been charged in connection with a falsely reported home invasion.

STONINGTON, CT - Stonington police said a Mystic woman was charged Tuesday in connection with a falsely reported home invasion, the New London Day reported. The false report was made Sept. 10 at 10:12 a.m., police said.
Police said officers responded to the home of Nicole B. Fustini, 40, at 171 Hewitt Road after she reported a home invasion to the department, according to the New London Day. Police announced two days later that further investigation revealed the suspect's report to be false.
Police said the suspect's false report lead to the use of considerable emergency resources and several days of investigation by police, the New London Day reported. Police have not revealed further details of the case, including the suspect's motive for falsely reporting the incident.
