Mystic Woman, Uncasville Man Arrested on Burglary Charges

Groton police conducted a search of the Noank area after a woman said someone came into her home just before 4 a.m. Friday, August 14.

Two people were arrested in connection with the alleged burglary and police said they be responsible for multiple burglaries in the area, according to The Day.

Uncasville resident Wayne Malinowsky, 29, of 26 Fitch Hill Road, and Mystic resident Barbara Kuhn, 37, of 22 Overlook Drive were arrested on the following charges.

  • Malinowsky: First-degree burglary, third-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit first-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny.
  • Kuhn: Conspiracy to commit first-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny.

The investigation is ongoing. Police said they expect to make more arrests in this case. Anyone with information or anyone who encountered a similar alleged crime is asked to contact Detective Robert Emery at (860) 441-6712.
