National Geographic Features Mystic In List
Mystic made the list for leading coastal destinations for LGBTQ+ travelers.
MYSTIC, CT — Mystic has made National Geographic's list of coastal destinations for LGBTQ+ travelers. Other destinations on the list include Mendocino County, California; San Juan Islands, Washington; and Nova Scotia, Canada.
Regarding Mystic, National Geographic writes:
"An early adopter of equal rights legislation, Connecticut passed a 1991 gay-rights bill that prohibited discrimination based on sexual orientation in housing, employment, and credit—making it one of America’s most LGBTQ+-welcoming states.
