The DPNC's annual Eco-Luncheon is 12-2 p.m., Thursady June 23 at the Oyster Club restaurant in downtown Mystic. It promises flavorful foraged and sustainably grown local fare prepared by the Oyster Club's amazingly talented Executive Chef, James Wayman.
Maggie Jones, Executive Director of the Nature Center, will be your host and discuss "Healthy Soil, Healthy Plants, Healthy People" and the ingredients incorporated into each course. Good farming and good eating go hand in hand!
Craig Floyd, Coogan Farm manager, will share his gardening philosophy and wisdom. Learn why soil and minerals are the building blocks of human nutrition, and the core of healthy eating. Enjoy the seasonal bounty from field, forest and shore while supporting DPNC environmental education.
