Navy Member Killed In I-95 Crash
The fatal Rhode Island crash claimed the life of a Mystic resident.
MYSTIC, CT — A U.S. Navy member from Mystic was killed in a I-95 crash in Rhode Island Tuesday.
The crash occurred around 11:50 p.m. on the southbound side about two miles north of exit 2 in Hopkinton, RI.
A vehicle driven by Elizabeth Kingsland, 31, collided with a tractor-trailer truck and went off road before it struck a tree, Rhode Island State Police said in a release. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The tractor-trailer operator wasn't injured.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. Kingsland was wearing a seat belt.
