New Stonington Applied Physical Sciences Facility Opens with Ribbon-Cutting

A ceremony was held to signify the opening of a new Pawcatuck-based facility.

STONINGTON, CT – A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Tuesday to signify the opening of a new General Dynamics Applied Physical Sciences facility in Pawcatuck, The Day reported.

The new facility will be used to test and prototype maritime and undersea technologies, according to The Day. The facility currently houses 10 employees, a number that is expected to increase soon.

Applied Physical Sciences is headquartered in Groton, as reported by The Day. The company does work for the Navy and other defense agencies, as well as companies in other industries and universities.
