North Stonington School District Announces Policy for Free and Reduced Meals

Families must apply for their children to get for the meals, and they must also qualify for them.

NORTH STONINGTON, CT – The school district recently announced its policy for free and reduced-price meals on its website.

Families must apply for their children to qualify for the meals, and they must also meet certain criteria.

Children receiving Supplemental Nutrition Assistance benefits or those of Temporary Family Assistance qualify for free and reduced meals. Youths under the legal responsibility of foster care are also eligible for the meals.

Also qualifiable are children whose families only meet a particular income and those who can be defined as homeless or runaway. Kids receiving SNAP benefits, meanwhile, will be automatically eligible for the benefits without needing to apply.
