Arlene S. Norman, 95, of Stonington, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 6, 2018 at The Royal, in Westerly, R.I.
The daughter of James and Julia Sullivan, she was born in Norwich on December 19, 1922.

A graduate of Willimantic State Teacher’s College, she taught for many years in the Norwich Public School System.
On April 24, 1948 she married Raymond Norman in Norwich. In 1969 they moved to Lord’s Point, Stonington, where they enjoyed being involved in the small coastal community.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Allan) Ferguson, Patty (Ray) Norcia and Jean (Tom) Lance; grandchildren, Jesse (Marie) Norcia, Andy Ferguson and Tricia Lance. She is also survived by great-granddaughters, Lauren and Gia; brother, Eugene Sullivan and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Ray, in 2004.
A mass will be celebrated Tuesday, July 10th at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Church in Stonington.
