Obituary: Edna Sanborn Parfitt, 82, of Mystic

Edna Sanborn Parfitt, 82, of Mystic passed away on Monday October 23, 2017 in Mystic. She was born on September 10, 1935 in Westbrook, ME a daughter to Walter G. and Marie Slaight Parfitt.

Edna had been married in 1955 to the late John Walter Parfitt, Sr. Walt passed away in 2015.

Edna was a long time member of the Bishop Seabury Church.

Her survivors include two sons and their spouses, Neal and Rebecca Parfitt, John W. and Dana Parfitt, Jr. all of Groton, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday October 27 at the Byles Memorial Home, 99 Huntington St, New London.

Funeral service will be held at 10 am at the Bishop Seabury Anglican Church, 7 Hurlbutt Rd, Gales Ferry. Her burial will follow in the Smith Lake Cemetery, Groton.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be directed to the Bishop Seabury Anglican Church, P. O. Box 188, Gales Ferry, CT 06335.
