Obituary: Jeffrey A. Heldreth, 46, of Mystic

Jeffrey A. Heldreth, 46, of Mystic, died unexpectedly on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at home.

Born in New London, he is the beloved son of Barbara J. (Dober) Heldreth of Mystic and the late Larry A. Heldreth.

Jeff was a lifelong resident of Mystic and was an avid sports fan. He especially enjoyed watching football and rooting for his favorite team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing youth football and baseball.

In addition to his mother, he leaves his aunt and uncle, Sheila and Keith Winkler of Mystic, numerous cousins and his beloved dogs, Barney and Henry. He was predeceased by a sister, Brenda Jean Heldreth in 2010.

A graveside service will be held Friday, February 17th at 1:00 pm at the Elm Grove Cemetery on Route 27 in Mystic. There are no calling hours.

The Mystic Funeral Home on Route 1 has charge of arrangements.
