One Of A Kind Jewelry Creations At Angel Haven

Norman Braverman is extremely proud of the unique jewelry he designs, makes and sells at Angel Haven.

Ask Norman Braverman, owner of Angel Haven in the Olde Mistick Village, what he attributes his success to and his answer is “The angels. Unquestionably, the angels, that’s the signature of our store.”

Every day Braverman is in his unique jewelry store greeting each customer and making sure they are well taken care of.

“When people walk in the door we tell them who their archangel is,” Braverman said.

These guardian angels are determined by the day of the week on which someone was born. Each day of the week has a special angel, and the angels, Braverman explains; bring love, affection, caring and guidance to people.

“It’s all on the spiritual level,” Braverman said. “I’m a very spiritual person. This is not about religion. This is about spirituality. Angels are generic of all religions.”

Thirteen years ago Braverman opened Angel Haven. But while he is self-taught in the art of jewelry design in a way it is also in his blood.

His mother designed a family tree ring for his Bar Mitzvah 47 years ago. And the ring, which he proudly wears, is one of the many unique designs he brought into his jewelry line.

“When you come into my store you walk out with something you’re not going to find anywhere else,” Braverman said. “Even when you do, your design is going to be your own design!”

The family tree motif, in addition to the Wings of Protection motif, can be purchased as a ring, pendant or bracelet and can carry up to 10 birthstones.

Customers can also build and design a necklace as part of his LinQs Collection. Each sterling silver necklace, in the collection, includes a handmade chain, which can be worn short or long, with staggered drop links from which charms hang.

“In the 18 months I’ve been selling this nobody’s ever walked out with the same necklace,” Braverman said.

In addition to his expansive array of exclusive jewelry, visitors can pursue the many showcases and displays around the store filled with Alex and Ani, Troll Beads, and Bonn Bons Jewelry.

Many of the people who visit Angel Haven are repeat customers, according to Braverman, and he believes they appreciate all the different pieces he has to offer.

“They love it because it’s unusual and different and things they can’t find anywhere else in the world,” Braverman said. “It’s just not your typical, everyday, jewelry.”
