On July 16, explore the private gardens at Kentford Farm, 297 New London Turnpike, Stonington, open to the public for self-guided tours to benefit the Garden Conservancy; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Kentford Farm is a five-acre perennial farm dating to 1727, with grass pathways and planting beds, fifty-foot weeping cherries, Norway spruce, copper beech, blue atlas cedar, a walk-in root cellar built into the hillside, and stone walls surrounding the whole property. No reservations required; rain or shine. Admission is $7 per person; children 12 & under free.
