The Mystic & Noank Library presents a collaborative exhibition of artwork by local artists for the month of September in the Ames Room. Muriel Hinkle, Rosemary Webber, and a group of Plein Air Artists will exhibit their watercolors and oils from September 3 through September 30 during regular library hours.
An Opening Reception with the artists will take place on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 from 6 – 8 p.m. It is free and open to the public.
Muriel Hinkle of Stonington will show her florals and animal portraits. This talented artist has not exhibited her pastels to the public until now.
Rosemary Webber of Mystic brings a mixture of colorful florals, landscapes and nautical scenes. New to the area, Webber enjoys the inspiration the water, landscape and historic features bring to her work.
The Plein Air Artists are a group of over 50 local members who paint outdoors together once a week. The artists use oils and watercolors, and meet at various local locations. They will focus on local scenes in this exhibit.
The Mystic & Noank Library strives to offer monthly exhibits in the Ames Meeting Room of artwork by local artists. The exhibit is open during regular Library hours. For more information, call (860) 536-7721 or email mnldevelopment@juno.com.
