Our Shoreline Community Association (OSCA) and the Mystic & Noank Library presents another program in their Living Well Series – Simple Tips for Daily Life. On Wednesday, October 30 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Library’s Ames Room, Amy Zezulka of the Mystic Yoga Shala will discuss the healthful benefits of meditation and will describe some breathing practices that facilitate a state of inner peacefulness.
Zezulka, a Mystic native, opened the popular Mystic Yoga Shala in 2006 and has taught hundreds of students the art of yoga and meditation. According to the Mayo Clinic, “meditation can give you a sense of calm, peace and balance that benefits both your emotional well-being and your overall health. And these benefits don't end when your meditation session ends. Meditation can help carry you more calmly through your day and can even improve certain medical conditions.”
The discussion is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is requested by October 25 to (860) 271-1681 or OSCAforseniors@gmail.com.
