Paraprofessional Test Offered at MMS Friday

If you’ve ever thought about working in education, this might be a good place to start. Plus, there are often vacancies for para-professionals in Stonington schools.  

The ParaPro Assessment is a general aptitude test that offers certification for paraprofessionals. 

This certification is for those who wish to be classroom assistants to teachers. A test will be held on Friday, Dec. 6 at 5:15 p.m. at Mystic Middle School. The fees are $75 for Stonington residents and $100 for non-residents.

Often referred to as para-educators by the Connecticut Department of Education, a para assist teachers "in the delivery of instructional and related services to students. The paraeducator works under the direct supervision of the teacher or other certified or licensed professional."
