Pawcatuck Woman Killed In Hit-and-Run In North Stonington: Report

NORTH STONINGTON, CT – Police said a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle Tuesday night on Norwich-Westerly Road (Route 2) has died, according to media reports. Police are still looking for the vehicle, which fled the scene, and ask anyone with information to contact them.

According to News 8, state police have identified the pedestrian as Krystal Riske, 25, of Pawcatuck. State police said Riske was walking in the right shoulder of the road when the suspect vehicle traveled off the roadway and struck her.

State police said Riske was airlifted to Hartford Hospital in critical condition with life-threatening injuries, NBC Connecticut reported. She died at the hospital early Wednesday morning, state police said.

According to the New London Day, the suspect vehicle is described as a dark-colored, possibly gray, mid-size SUV. The vehicle's passenger side headlight and quarter panel are damaged, and it is also missing its passenger side mirror, police said.
