Pawcatuck's Boucher Leads Becker College Lacrosse Team Into NECC Finals

     

Junior midfielder Christina Boucher scored five goals as host Becker College held off visiting Wheelock College, 14-13, in the semifinals of the NECC Women's Lacrosse Championship Tournament.

The Hawks of Becker advance to the finals with a record of 7-9 while the Wildcats of Wheelock end their season at 4-11. Becker led by as much as eight with 1:48 remaining in the first half off a goal from Boucher that saw the Hawks go up 11-3. The Wildcats rallied throughout the second period, however, cutting the Becker lead to one with 1:02 remaining. The Hawks managed to control the ball as the seconds ticked off the clock, however, preserving the win.  

Boucher is a 2010 Stonington High School graduate.
