Photos: Mystic Ballet at Home at Mystic Stage

The Mystic Ballet Company has a performance space to call home. Mystic Stage opened in the Olde Mistick Village Arts Cinema last Saturday night with a performance by Mystic Ballet.

The more than 1,000 square-foot stage seats 185 and will accommodate contemporary dance, classical ballet and theater performances.

Mystic Stage is a collaboration between Joyce Olson Resnikoff, owner of ehe Olde Mistick Village; Bill Dougherty, owner of Olde Mistick Village Art Cinemas; and Goran Subotic, Artistic Director of the Mystic Ballet.

“Olde Mystic Village Arts Cinema’s development with Mystic Ballet is part of my life-long dream, to establish a theater for the community,” Bill Dougherty said.
