Pirate Days Returns To Mystic Seaport Museum Next Month
The popular shoreline attraction is planning a themed weekend packed with surprises for families.
MYSTIC, CT ā Mystic Seaport Museum is preparing to transform its grounds into a swashbuckling destination as Pirate Days returns for a two-day celebration April 16 and 17.
The family-friendly event invites visitors to explore the seaport village through an interactive treasure hunt, where kids can follow clues, discover hidden loot, and meet costumed pirates along the way. The weekend will also feature games, crafts, live musical performances, and cannon firing drills, along with a pirate parade around the Village Green.
Additional activities include story time, a āPirate Olympics,ā and themed planetarium shows. Organizers encourage attendees of all ages to dress in costume to join the festivities.

The event coincides with the museumās new exhibition, āBrickwrecks: Sunken Ships in LEGO Bricks,ā offering another draw for families during school vacation week.
Admission is free for museum members and included with general admission for others. A pirate kit, which includes treasure hunt materials and prizes, will be available for an additional fee.
