Police Arrest 3 for Mystic Tire, Wheels Thefts

Police had located the trio's van with a collection of wheels and tires.

STONINGTON, CT - Police said they arrested a Providence trio charged with stealing tires and wheels in Mystic, The Day reported.

A man and two women were arrested early Saturday morning after allegedly stealing wheels and tires from vehicles at hotels in Mystic and the Valenti Auto Mall, according to The Day. Police had located the trio’s van with a collection of wheels and tires.

Jose Calderon, 28, Naomi Pizzaro, 26, and Eucatherine Ruiz-Veras, 24, were all arrested on charges connected to the thefts, The Day reported. Calderon had initially tried to escape custody by running into the woods, but was later captured with help from Groton Town police.
