Police Arrest Alleged Fugitive From Justice at N. Stonington Hotel

A woman wanted for an alleged bank robbery in Boston was arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 23.

A bank robbery suspect staying at the Stardust Motel in North Stonington prompted a Wednesday, Sept. 23, investigation and subsequent arrest by North Stonington resident troopers and FBI personnel.

“While conducting surveillance, the troopers were able to identify the suspect that was believed to have committed a bank robbery in Boston, Mass.,” Kelly Grant of the Connecticut State Police, said in a press release.

The FBI Violent Task Force responded to the hotel and with the assistance of the troopers, took the suspect into custody. Rachel Devine, 28, of 504 Pleasant St., Weymouth, Mass., was arrested on the following charges:

She was issued a Sept. 24 New London Superior Court date and a $250,000 bond.
