Police Seeking Suspected Mystic Elderly Facility Thief: PD

STONINGTON, CT - Police are seeking the public's help in identifying a man suspected in connection to reported thefts from an elderly facility in Mystic. The incident occurred on October 18, after which multiple residents reported items missing, according to police.

Police said the suspect is approximately 50 to 60 years old and was wearing a red baseball cap. Several residents reported having seen the suspect enter the facility unauthorized, and when confronted told them he was there to repair the light fixtures.

Police said the suspect could be seen on video surveillance entering the facility empty handed, then exiting an hour and a half later with a plastic grocery bag containing several items in his hand.
