Poppy the Seal's Release Taking Place June 11

Poppy the seal will be released at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 11, at Blue Shutters Beach, 75 E. Beach Rd., Charlestown, R.I.

“Poppy is an approximately one-year-old female harbor seal rescued in Provincetown, Mass., by International Fund for Animal Welfare,” Mystic Aquarium said via Facebook. “She was treated for dehydration, several small puncture wounds and a large head wound. After ongoing medical treatment, Poppy has made a full recovery and is ready for release!”
