Popular Ice Cream Store Opens At Historic Old Mystic Spot
A shop offering dozens of small-batch ice cream flavors has added a second storefront.
MYSTIC, CT — Mystic Drawbridge Ice Cream held a soft opening of its second location this past weekend.
"Soft opening was a success!" the shop posted on Facebook. "We’re so happy we got to see so many smiling faces today! Thank you so much for the love and support!"
The post noted that they would be "back at it again" Sunday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The ice cream shop is located at the former Old Mystic General Store at 47 Main St. The building has been part of Old Mystic since 1790.
"Mystic Drawbridge General Store is the newest chapter of the second-generation family owned, and operated business behind the home-made ice cream you’ve come to know and love in downtown Mystic," the store's website reads.

Renovations for the ice cream shop began in the spring. The new location also serves homemade pastries and baked goods along with specialty coffees and lattes.
The shop also operates a location at 2 to 4 W. Main St. in Mystic.
Mystic Drawbridge Ice Cream features dozens of flavors along with frappes, shakes, coffee, espresso and more.
The shop's owners could not be reached for comment.
