Public Hearing On Proposed Budget Being Held In Stonington

Stonington will hold a public hearing this week on the proposed budget for 2018-19.

STONINGTON, CT — On Wednesday, Stonington's Board of Finance will hold a public hearing on the proposed $70.6 million budget for 2018-19, the New London Day reports. The hearing is set to take place at Stonington High School at 7:15 p.m.

The board will finalize a budget proposal after the hearing, according to the Day. The proposal will then be sent to the Board of Selectmen, which will set both a town meeting and a referendum vote.

The proposed budget shows an increase of more than $3 million, or 4.5 percent, compared to the current budget, according to the Day.
