Rescued Manatee Released to Florida River After Rehabilitation at Mystic Aquarium
The area of her release is said to be filled with sea grass, and is typically where manatees head for the winter.

MYSTIC, CT – A rescued female manatee that spent week at the Mystic Aquarium has nowbeen released back into the water, The Day reported.
The pregnant creature was released Tuesday into the Indian River in Florida by SeaWorld scientists, according to The Day. A final ultrasound was taken before the release that revealed its fetus to be 4 or 5 months old and healthy.
Washburn, as the manatee was named, was given a tracking belt with satellite tags to track her movements, The Day reported. The area of her release is said to be filled with sea grass, and is typically where manatees head for the winter.
